Homework
Reading
Pupils are expected to read at home at least five times a week.
Regular reading has many benefits such as developing children's vocabulary and skills in reading, writing and spelling. Whilst also building their creativity and imagination.
We want to foster a love of reading in Swift Class, in and out of the classroom.
When your child reads at home, please sign their reading diary. Pupils should bring their reading books and diaries into school each day.
“Books shouldn’t be daunting, they should be funny, exciting and wonderful; and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage.” – Roald Dahl
