Summer Term 1

This half-term our focus has been 'Beside the Seaside'. The children have been so excited to share their own holiday/beach experiences and listen to stories from their friends.

We have focused on different texts during Literacy and Topic to support the children's learning all about the seaside. As well as thinking about our own experiences, we have also explored a non-fiction text to find out about what Seaside holidays would have been like in the past. Here we are exploring seaside holiday artefacts.

Here we are exploring what the seaside would be like using our 5 senses! We used touch by feeling the sand and sea between our fingers and toes, sight by talking about what we can see at the seaside, hearing by listening to sounds at the seaside, and smell and taste with some yummy chips from the fish and chip shop!
