Geography: Where and why are some animals facing extinction?
We will begin by learning about the world's rainforests, before looking at what threats they are facing and what can be done to protect them. We will also investigate Polar regions to see what similar threats they face.

Our first Science topic will be 'Living Things and their Habitats'. Our Key Questions for the unit are:

  • How can we classify living things?
  • How can we use classification keys to group living things?
  • What living things can be found in our local environment?
  • How can environments change?
  • What impact can environmental change have on living things?
  • How do humans contribute to environmental change?

Our second Science topic will be 'Animals, Including Humans,' and we will be learning about Teeth and the Digestive System.

  • What are the different types of teeth? Where are they in the mouth?
  • Why do we have different types of teeth? What are their functions?
  • Why do animals have different teeth?
  • Why is it important to look after your teeth? How do you take care of them?
