Maths
In Maths this term, we have been developing our number skills by recognising and counting numbers to 20 and beyond. The children have enjoyed spotting these numbers in everyday contexts such as on the calendar, helping them to see how numbers are used in the world around them.
We have also been exploring shapes, learning to compose and decompose them in different ways. The children were amazed to discover that a rectangle can be split into two triangles! This sparked lots of curiosity and they were eager to experiment further to see what other shapes they could create. We then used our shape knowledge creatively to design and build pictures, demonstrating great imagination and problem solving skills.
