Sherwood Forest
We visited Sherwood Forest on 3.2.23 to develop our learning in geography and science. What a fabulous day we all had!
We worked in teams to find landmarks and identify animals through an orienteering activity. The competition was intense and there was a lot of running involved!
Then we walked through the forest to the Major Oak looking for evidence of woodland creatures along the way. A little robin sang us a beautiful song and we saw some horses out for a trot through the woods.
Then, after a well earned lunch, we built woodland homes to provide shelter to animals. The children cooperated brilliantly and created some incredible homes.
Then it was time to get back on the bus and wave good bye to Simon and Ellie who had helped us throughout the day. A brilliant day for learning, great team work and cooperation was shown by the children and we even had some sunshine!
