Autumn Term 1 2021
It is so lovely to see everyone back at school for the start of a new school year.We are very pleased with how quickly the children have settled and we are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and loving school! The children are adapting well to our new routines and I have been very impressed with the children's Attitude to Learning already.
Our priority is helping children to settle back into the routines of school and to make sure they feel confident, comfortable and safe and are enjoying school. The children will know what the expectations are in their new classroom. We expect every child to be the best version of themselves and their behaviour to meet the high standards of Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Safe. Our classroom will be a challenging place for children to grow as learners, where they are happy to have a go and know we learn from mistakes.
Over Autumn Term 1 we will cover a range of themes. Our week, we will be having a whole school theme around the book 'The Dot' by Peter H Reynolds.
We will then move onto our RE Topic of 'What does it mean to belong?'.
Our topic then moved onto Science, where we will be exploring Materials and answering the question 'Could I build a school out of paper?'
