Today's task is based on plurals. Plural means more than one e.g. one dog/ two dogs. Can you change the singular word into a plural?

Remember you can add:

  • s to the end
  • es to the end if it ends in ch, sh, x, z, s
  • if words ends in y you change the y for an i and add es.

Examples – pen – pens / church – churches /baby – babies

Yesterday we got creative and made a dream catcher to catch your hopes and dreams and get rid of any worries you may have. Today I want you to write a set of instructions of how to make a dream catcher.

Remember you need:

  • a title
  • a ‘you will need’ list with bullet points
  • instructions using numbers and time connectives e.g. first, next, then, after that, finally.

You could add pictures too.

Now that coronavirus rules are starting to be eased and yesterday we thought about what you are looking forward to the most. Today we are going to get creative and make a dream catcher.

Look at the pictures and create your own dream catcher to catch your hopes and dreams and get rid of any worries you may have. You just need card and wool/ string. You don’t have to use feathers at the bottom, you could use beads or draw some little pictures to hang. Have fun!

We are going to make a looking forward to jar, full of ideas and things you can’t wait to do again. On little strips of paper can you write sentences of things you are looking forward to e.g. I can’t wait to play with my friends again. When you have made lots of ideas on different pieces of paper put them in a jar to keep them safe.

Although coronavirus rules are starting to be eased I want you to think about the positive effects that lockdown has had on you. You may have learned a new skill like how to ride a bike, or may have had a new experience and been somewhere different or you may have just enjoyed spending time with your family.

Split your paper into 6/ 8. Draw lots of different pictures of all the different things you have been up to during lockdown and write a sentence underneath each picture.

Around him I want to write down anything that you are worried about or any questions that you have e.g. What will school be like when we go back? When will I be able to hug my friends again?

Remember sentences have capital letters and full stops and questions have capital letters and question marks.
