Today's task is based on plurals. Plural means more than one e.g. one dog/ two dogs. Can you change the singular word into a plural?

Remember you can add:

  • s to the end
  • es to the end if it ends in ch, sh, x, z, s
  • if words ends in y you change the y for an i and add es.

Examples – pen – pens / church – churches /baby – babies

Symbols of the Olympics

Did you know in the ancient Olympic Games and today they light the Olympic Flame at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games? The flame then continues to burn in the cauldron for the duration of the Games, until it is extinguished during the Olympic closing ceremony. Interestingly the Olympic flag has a white background, with five interlaced rings in the centre: blue, yellow, black, green and red. This represents the five continents of the world and was first used at the 1920 Olympics.

Today we are looking at finding the difference with measures. Find the difference is the result of subtracting one number from another. How much one number differs from another. Example: The difference between 8 and 3 is 5.
