Extra-curricular
Sports Day
We had a wonderful morning competing in the different sports day events. I am proud of Kingfisher Class for proving their amazing team spirit and sportsmanship by supporting everyone involved. Well done to everyone involved!
C.R.Y Fundraiser Day
Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
We celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in red, white and blue. We searched for the Queen's corgis, had a royal biscuit competition, and ended with a delicious cream tea. What a treat!
Careers Week
We had such an exciting week meeting inspiring people and learning about a range of interesting careers. We took part in a robotics challenge, met an inspirational speaker and ringmaster, and even tried our hand at being a mechanic and car sales person.
World Book Day
Our classroom was full of mystical, magical, weird and wonderful book characters today. We had so much fun sampling different genres at our 'Book Tasting'.
Christmas Party
Meet the crazy elves in Kingfisher class!
Purple4Polio- Bulb planting
We were invited to plant some crocus bulbs with the rotary club at Swallow Park as part of the 'Purple 4 Polio' campaign (which you can find out more about here). We had a lot of fun whilst making a difference- we love helping our local community!
Remembrance Day
We had a special visitor talking to us about Remembrance Day. Major Goodwin (sound familiar?) came to talk to us about the importance of remembering those that have fought for the country, why the poppy is a symbol of remembrance and what life is like in the army.
It looks like we have some future Captains and Majors in the making...
Halloween Fun
Kingfisher's were replaced with witches, zombies and vampires for our last day of this half term. We had a day full of treats (thankfully no tricks) creating fang-tastic crafts and decorating some spook-tacular cakes.
Euros 2020
We had so much fun following England in the Euros 2020! We were so proud and inspired that we wanted to write letters of thanks which you can read below, and our own AMAZING football chants which you can watch here.
Well done Layla who won the class sweep-stake!
