As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support, encouragement and involvement in school life. Your partnership has helped make this year a successful and enriching one for all our children. While summer is just around the corner, there is still so much to look forward to! From parents' evenings and sports day to graduation ceremonies, summer discos and the much-anticipated Year 6 production of 'Moana'. The coming weeks promise to be full of celebration, achievement and community spirit. We can’t wait to share these special moments with you.

We were delighted to host our truly special Father’s Day Ploughman’s Picnics last week— a joyful afternoon filled with sunshine, laughter and meaningful moments.

Picnic blankets dotted the school grounds, creating a cheerful patchwork of families enjoying the warm weather and delicious picnic treats. With music playing gently in the background, the atmosphere was perfect for celebrating the important men in our children's lives.

It was heartwarming to welcome so many dads, grandads, and other significant male figures to share this occasion. Watching them connect with the children — sharing food, stories, and smiles — reminded us all of the powerful role these individuals play in our school community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. Here's to many more shared moments like this!

A huge thank you to all the parents, carers and families who supported our Summer Fayre—what a fantastic day it was! It was wonderful to see our school community come together, with everyone playing a part in making the event such a success. From the delicious treats at the burger stall and the ever-popular ice cream van, to the beautiful handmade items created by our talented children, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The teddy tombola was a big hit too, with plenty of lucky winners going home with cuddly new friends! Thanks to your generosity and involvement, we were able to raise just over £1000 in valuable funds for the school. We’ll be sharing more details soon about how the money will be spent to benefit our children.

During our library visit, the children in KS1 met Leigh Hodgkinson who is an author of the story 'Once upon a big bad wolf'.

The children listened to Leigh read her story and were very enthusiastic to ask questions. This story is a twist on a traditional tale and the children loved hearing about lots of other familiar characters within the story such as the fairy godmother. During the visit, the children had the opportunity to draw their own characters and were excited to share these.

On Friday, EYFS enjoyed some fun in the sunshine by making fruit kebabs. We talked about our favourite fruits and practiced our fine motor skills by carefully pushing the fruits onto the skewers. It was a great success!

Evelyn, from Jay class, has just completed her dance show at The Palace Theatre where she’s been going since she was 4. What a superstar!

Year 5 are on their way back from a truly unforgettable trip to London, filled with sunshine, sightseeing and special moments. Under glorious blue skies, the children enjoyed a picnic in the beautiful surroundings of Green Park before taking in the iconic sights of Buckingham Palace. A scenic Thames River Cruise carried them from Tower Bridge to Westminster, offering stunning views of the capital’s landmarks. After a delicious meal at Pizza Express, the highlight of the evening was a magical performance of Wicked—a truly spellbinding experience! The fun continued with a comfy overnight stay and breakfast at the Premier Inn, followed by exciting visits to the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum the next day.

Throughout the trip, the children were an absolute credit to the school—curious, polite, and full of enthusiasm. What a joyful and enriching experience it was for everyone involved! We'll share some photographs in the next newsletter.
