The Robot and the Bluebird by David Lucas
Over the past few weeks we have thoroughly enjoyed reading The Robot and the Bluebird.
We have looked closely at the illustrations and explored the feelings of the Robot at the beginning of the story. As a way of experiencing loneliness we sat alone in the playground for 5 minutes, we could see each other but did not talk. some children said that it made them feel sad and gave them time to think. One child told me the Robot would have been cold as he knew that nighttime is colder than daytime.
