On Monday 29th January 2018, Ian Bland will be visiting Birklands and conducting workshops with year groups across the school. It should be great fun, inspiring our young poets to put pen to paper!

  • Children in Need/Anti-Bullying Week

    Friday 17th November

This year we are combining Children in Need with Anti-Bullying Week.

The theme for Anti-Bullying Week is 'odd socks'.

We are therefore asking children to come in on Friday 17th November dressed in something spotty and/or wearing odd socks.

All that we ask is that whatever the children choose to wear it is suitable for school and you send your child with a donation.

This year Lloyds Bank have very kindly donated some Pudsey goodies for us to sell in order to raise some money. Prices and items are listed below and are on sale in the school office now.

  • Message from the School Council

Please see following message from the Junior School Council

    Dear Parents and Carers

Please don't park on the zig-zags outside of Birklands primary school because of all the pupils' safety. Also it's illegal and you could get a parking ticket.

Thank you for helping to keep us safe.

  • Attendance

    First Half Term

Attendance over the past half term has been quite poor with us only averaging 95.77% over the past seven weeks. Please remember that your child can come into school with a minor cough or cold. If they need antibiotics or other medicine, these can be administered by school with parental permission. It is vital that your child attends school every day to ensure they do not miss out on any important learning time.
